Known as Pythagorean cup (also known as a Pythagoras cup, Greedy Cup, Cup of Justice, Tantalus cup) it is a practical joke device in a form of a drinking cup. When it is filled beyond a certain point, a siphoning effect causes the cup to drain its entire contents through the base.
Small size (2 inch diameter x 2-5/8 inch tall).

Legend has it that the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, during water supply works in Samos around 530 BC, moderated the workers' wine drinking by inventing the "Cup of Justice". When the cup is filled past the line, the cup totally empties, so the greedy one is punished.
